Owner of Ship:  XXX SHIPPING CO., LTD

 

    

    Owing to the fact of the conditions my vessel has encountered during the present voyage as follows:

One crew named MR.A suffered serious injury to both of his arms on 11th Nov 2021. Through the efforts of all parties, the crew received medical treatment, but he lost his left arm. Now another surgery should be conducted to his right arm, but the medical technology in Solomon islands is limited and the hospital is lack of blood. Considering MR.A life security, he needs to return to Vietnam for further treatment.

Although all parties have tried best to arrange commercial flight and chartered flight for him to repatriate, unfortunately they couldn’t get solution for 2 ways due to riots happened in Honiara, strict quarantine regulations and lack of air route from Solomon islands to Vietnam.

Based on current situation, repatriating MR.A to Vietnam by MV XXX is the only way.

 

Owing to the above fact, I hereby note my protest:

For obeying international treaty and humanitarian, l will repatriate MR.A to Vietnam.

Thus MV XXXX  will sail to Haiphong to disembark MR.A after departure Honiara.

Pls all concerned parties be kindly noted that the vessel has liberty to deviate for the purpose of saving life and such operation shall not to be deemed to be a diversion under the performing Charter Party.

I ,the master of MV. XXX and on behalf of my owner are not responsible for any consequence of any losses for above deviation.
